In the wake of the de Havilland Comet disasters, a major structural testing programme was initiated on the Caravelle fuselage. After static tests had largely been completed, a programme of water tank testing was commenced to simulate actual operating conditions as closely as possible, this report summarising the fourth series of tests of the airframe up to 100,000 cyles the equivalent of 300,000 hours of flying.
