  • (ABS) The typescript states 'The following was found in one of Brearey's copy book letters and is now filed with his other letters in a folder in the special library book case'. 'Copy letter to Mr. Glaisher important to any future Historian of Aerial Navigation - written in lieu of the indistinct copy in the letter book.'
    The letter covers his final views of the state of achieving manned flight. How he considers it impossible to control an aircraft and of his meetings with all the key people in aeronautics. He talks a lot of his exchange of ideas with the Americans and ends with Norman's (surname) suicide because of lack of progress.
