• THe History of Thurleigh Airfield

A detailed film of the history of Bedford (Thurleigh) airfield and related  activities undertaken at the location.

The film opens with a 7 part history of Thurleigh airfield. The film also includes a lot of footage and photos of RAE and other aircraft that operated from the field, the flight simulator and the wind tunnels.

The reminder of the film collates together some commercial film about the activities of DRA and footage and photographs of aircraft, and personnel, who have been involved in the history of the airfield up to the point of its closure.
