Abstract:

In this paper the postshock thermochemical nonequilibrium flows are calculated with a collisional-radiative (CR) model coupled to the gas dynamics equations for the FIRE II vehicle at 1634 and 1836 s. The results are adopted as a reference to examine existing electron impact ionization models.
