- HRH The Princess Anne visited the headquarters of the Royal Aeronautical Society at No.4 Hamilton Place, London, on 20 May 1974 to present the Whitney Straight Award, a sculpture by Dame Barbara Hepworth, to Mrs Yvonne Sintes, centre, in recognition of her contribution to civil aviation as an ATC Officer and commercial pilot. Barry Laight, RAeS President 1974-1975 looks on. The Whitney Straight Award was donated in 1967 by Air Cdre Whitney Straight, Deputy Chairman of Rolls-Royce, to recognise the achievement and status of women in aviation.
